Yogurt Sorbet - SUGAR

  • Let’s first start with the marinade- mix about 4 ounces of yogurt, a small chopped piece of ginger, 2-3 cloves of chopped garlic, about 6 green cardamom pods (pods removed and seeds ground), 1 tablespoon gram flour, 1 teaspoon-garam masala (Indian spice), 1 teaspoon cumin powder, ½ teaspoon chili powder, some salt & lime juice & vegetable oil to taste in a bowl.

For the skewers: Add about 10 ounces ofcottage cheese, 1 pack (or more) of dried pineapple, 1 large onion, 1 green & 1 red pepper to the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrapand allow the paneer and vegetables to marinate for 30 to 40 minutes, or longer in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and oil a baking sheet.

Thread the vegetables, pineapple and cottage cheese alternately onto the skewers and place on the baking sheet. Bake the skewers in the oven for 7 minutes, drizzle over the melted butter, turn and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until charred at the edges.

Sprinkle some pineapple or any other salsa of your choice on top & enjoy this delicious skewer!
